Unitech America has announced the launch of its new rugged handheld scanner designed specifically for health care, the MS337H.
In today’s dynamic health care environment, there is a growing need for advanced data collection technology to improve point of care accuracy and overall patient safety. Unitech is committed to creating solutions for health care professionals that increase efficiency and productivity. The MS337H is the second product in the Unitech health care series, adding to the PA600 Mobile Clinical Assistant, a rugged mobile computer with antimicrobial housing, RFID reader and a 2D imager.
The MS337H is a CMOS 2D imager scanner, constructed with a unique antimicrobial enclosure to provide health care professionals with a bar code scanning solution ideally suited for use at the point of care. Featuring true omnidirectional 2D area scanning and a wide angle lens, the MS337 allows for accurate reading of damaged or curved bar codes such as those found on patient identification bracelets or medication labels.
Unitech’s MS337H is designed for health care from the inside out. Its durable antimicrobial housing provides an added safeguard against the proliferation and spread of germs and its 5-foot drop threshold is rugged enough for any health care environment.
With its powerful and accurate scanning technology, the MS337 is capable of decoding the most comprehensive set of bar code symbologies, reducing the likelihood of human error and easing the burden of paperwork, ensuring greater efficiency for health care professionals which results in higher-quality patient care.
The MS337H is easily integrated into existing systems and offers flexible customization and configuration with its PC-based software. Unitech also offers the MS337 scanner without antimicrobial protection for more traditional scanning applications such as warehousing and retail.
